Too Good to Eat Although we see Roger with various products, we do not witness him consume these goods. During the train ride on the Twentieth Century Limited, Roger orders food and a drink but never actually eats or drinks, just as he does not drink in the Oak Bar in New York. While he is in the café at Mount Rushmore we do not see Roger sip his coffee (although he does place the cup close to his mouth almost as a little teaser). Roger does bid on items at the auction but only to aid himself and to mock the system, another example of Roger finding himself above the consumer society. |
